BECOME AN OZTAG REFEREE

There are many great benefits to becoming a Oztag referee whether you still play the game, have retired, or have never played there is plenty to be gained from picking up the whistle. Refereeing Oztag is a great way to stay involved in the game as well as having some fun, making new friends and earn some money along the way.

 

Referee development is an extremely important part of our game, simply without referees we wouldn’t have a game to enjoy. If you would like to get involved with the fastest growing recreational sport in ACT follow the steps listed below to become an accredited Oztag referee. There are many levels a referee can reach within the sport of Oztag, starting at a grass roots level and advancing to a national and even international level.

REFEREES

For persons aged 13 to 16.

Follow these few simple steps and you will be on your way to becoming a Oztag Referee:

1.    Complete Oztag’s Level 1 Referee Accreditation  

2.    Register to attend the ACT Oztag Referee Course. 

3.    Attend the ACT Oztag Referee Course. 

4.    Order a referee Shirt Online. 

5.    ACT Oztag will contact you one week before the season commences to Start Refereeing! 

 

For persons aged 17 or older.

1.    Complete Oztag’s Level 1 Referee Accreditation  

2.    Register to attend the ACT Oztag Referee Course. 

3.    Attend the ACT Oztag Referee Course. 

4.   Order a referee Shirt Online. 

5.    ACT Oztag will contact you one week before the season commences to Start Refereeing! 

 

NOTE: Referee shirts will be ready for referees to collect on the first competition night at the venue they select.

Session Times:

Ages 13 to 16 – 5:00pm to 7:00pm

Ages 17+ – 7:30pm to 8:30pm
