ACT Cougars teams represent in two tournaments per year.
NSW State Championships held in February (Juniors) and March (Seniors)
Australian National Championships held in October (Juniors) and November (Seniors)
Eligibility
Players must be a registered player in any ACT & Southern Regions Oztag Competition.
All players must attend the trial to be eligible for selection.
Any player with an injury who cannot participate in trials, must still attend the trials, failure to do so will result in the player being ineligible for selection.
Players who have work or local training for another sporting code will not be granted an exemption from the trial.
Any current squad member seeking re-selection will be required to trial for a place in the new squad.
Feedback will not be provided to unsuccessful players at the conclusion of trials.
Age divisions are determined by the age you turn that year – e.g. if you turn 11 in December the year of the tournament you will be playing in the 11’s division at the tournament regardless if the player is still only 10 when the tournament is played.
SENIOR:
Men’s 20’s / Women’s 20’s / Mixed 20’s: Players must still be 20 on the first day of the tournament.
Men’s / Women’s / Mixed Open: No age limit.
Women’s 27’s: Players must be 27 years or older by 31st December of the year of the tournament.
Women’s 37’s: Players must be 37 years or older by 31st December of the year of the tournament.
Women’s 47’s: Players must be 47 years or older by the 31st December of the year of tournament. A 47’s committee will be formed similar to the men’s 60’s.
Mixed Seniors: Women must be 30 years or older, men must be 35 years or older.
